What should an OEM project include?
Provide the tech pack, measurement chart, materials, artwork and construction details that define the garment. The manufacturer still needs to review feasibility, sourcing and production requirements. “Production-ready” does not mean every specification can be accepted without questions.
What happens in an ODM discussion?
Share your target customer, references, desired fit and brand direction. Ask which design and pattern decisions need to be developed, who approves them and what is included in the sample fee. A reference-based discussion should result in a clear brief rather than a vague promise to make something similar.
Compare responsibility before comparing price
| Question | What to clarify |
|---|---|
| Design development | Which drawings, patterns or proposals are included? |
| Artwork | Who provides production files and approves preparation? |
| Revisions | What counts as a revision or a new design? |
| Ownership | What rights and access apply to files and patterns? |
| Production | What material, construction and quantity is quoted? |
Which route should you choose?
Choose based on what is ready and where you need help. A brand may have artwork and a size chart but still need fabric or construction proposals. Tell Blesstop which parts are fixed and which are open to discussion. Confirm sample deliverables, MOQ and the approval process before scheduling production.
- Send the latest version of each supplied file.
- List unresolved choices instead of hiding them.
- Agree on responsibilities for approving the sample.
- Request a quotation that separates sampling from bulk production.
These guides explain choices to discuss. Catalogue photos are visual references; final materials, measurements, MOQ, prices and schedules are confirmed in your brief, sample and quotation.
